Get your pillows and your PJs ready, United Way of Greater Waterbury is excited to bring back the Bed Races! The 2019 Bed Races will take place on Saturday, October 19th, and will begin at City Hall in Waterbury. It's sure to be a great day for the Greater Waterbury area filled with fun, food, and friends.

How to Purchase Obstacles

We know you’re pretty confident in your racing abilities… but what if you had an extra leg up on the competition? At the Race you will be able to purchase obstacles to slow down your opponents! Check out the Menu of Obstacles below.

9 am - 11 am	Racing Team Arrivals & Safety Checks
11 am - 11:30 am	Parade of Beds / Food Trucks Open
11:30 am - 11:45 am	Opening Remarks
11:45 am - 12 pm	Staging for Round 1 Heats / Obstacle Sales Open
12 pm - 12:45 pm	Round 1 Heats / 12 Races
1:00 pm - 1:45 pm	Round 2 Heats / 6 Races
2:00 pm - 2:30 pm	Semi-Final and Championship Heats
2:30 - 3 pm	Awards Ceremony

*PLEASE NOTE: Grand Street will be closed to traffic from 8:00AM - 4:00PM on the day of the event.

From New Haven & Fairfield Counties:

Take Exit 31 to merge onto I-84 E towards Hartford for 0.5 miles
Take Exit 22 toward Baldwin St/Downtown/Waterbury for 0.2 miles
Take S Main St and Grand St to Bank St for 0.3 miles
Merge onto Market Square
In 226 ft, turn left on S Main St for 0.1 mile
Turn left into Grand St for 0.1 mile
Turn left at the 1st cross street onto Bank St; your destination will be on the right

From Hartford

Take I-84 West towards Waterbury
Take Exit 21 for Meadow St toward Bank St
Turn right onto Field St. for 0.1 mile
Turn right onto Grant St. for 0.1 mile
Turn right onto Bank St
In 230 ft, your destination will be on the right

Buckingham Garage has 1400 spots. Weekend parking is FREE all day.
A parking attendant is onsite from 9:45 AM to 7:45 PM daily.
